Description: El mapa de Regiones Prioritarias Marinas es el resultado del proyecto de la Comisión Nacional para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad (CONABIO) la cual, por medio del Programa del mismo nombre y con la creación de talleres multidisciplinarios, logró identificar 70 áreas costeras y oceánicas consideradas prioritarias por su alta biodiversidad y por la diversidad en el uso de sus recursos. De igual manera se identificaron las amenazas al medio marino de mayor incidencia o con impactos significativos en costas y mares. El mapa se presenta es una escala 1: 4,000,000.
